I've had a couple lessons with Willie and I have seen my game improve greatly. His analysis of my swing and detail of information to help me improve has been great and has vastly improved me and have a better understanding of my swing

i have returned to golf after a 10 year abscence due to having a famiy,my husband has been getting lessons from willie with great results so he advised me to book a course of lessons,i have already seen a big improvement,my confidence has risen greatly and my husband has threatened to cancel some of my lessons so i dont beat him. i can recomend willie to anyone who wants to improve ,his skills as a golf teacher shine through his teaching manner puts you at ease and learning with him becomes easy and very productive.thanks wilie see you soon .amanda

I have just recently taken up golf and was obviously struggling, after a few lessons with Willie my game has improved massively. Still a lot of work to do so without doubt I will continue to work with Willie. As has already been said he always has time for, a gent.

i have been struggling with my short game recently ,i have not been getting up and down as often as i want,my friend has been taking lessons with willie and advised me to get in touch to as he put it willie will sort you out,i booked a lesson explained my problems willie videoed my swing and showed me on the laptop the areas in my set up that needed improving, with a bit of practice i can see great improvement ,willie showed me some drills to keep using to help and most importantly he gave me a pre shot routine,now my h/cap is 3 target for the end of season is 1 thanks willie alan smith

I have been to willie for a lesson i have had lessons in the past with little or no improvement in my game,from various different golf pros.i am totaly amazed,gobsmacked at the difference one lesson with willie has made to my golf in my first lesson willie worked on my balance and my set up with amazing results suddenly i can hit the ball down the fairway again with little or no effort ,i am looking forward to my next lesson so i can improve even more i feel now that the sky is the limit as to how much i can improve with willies coaching the guy is awesum .thanks willie alan bruce h/cap 6

i have just been to se willie for a putting lesson ,he videoed my stroke and then he showed it to me on the laptop.he pointed out some things i would never have seen for myself and then we worked on correcting these faults.towards the end of the lesson he again showed me my stroke and showed me the differences,i have to say what a massive difference it has made to my putting,now instead of 3 putting i am now confident of holing some putts and getting my handicap down,anyone who has any problems putting go and see willie for a lesson i am very glad i did. charles thomson

having reached the handicap of 5 and going nowhere fast treading water i decided to book a lesson with willie,he quickly identified a little problem which was causing me to block the ball,which has plagued me for years,i was getting trapped on the downswing. willie has shown me a variety of shots i can now use instead of just playing my high fade ,now i can draw the ball play it high or low depending on how strong the wind is,he also showed me a simple to use pre shot routine something i had never done before now with the season approaching i am looking forward to getting to 4 or maybe even better.thanks for your help willie

i guess i could be the typical golfer ,i read every golf book i can get my hands on every golf tip is studied and then tried out ,which all helps to get my brain scrambled and too many thoughts going on in my head instead of just swing the club,thankfully i was told by a friend to go and see willie for a lesson,so i did he patiently listened to all my swing thoughts watched me hit some balls and then showed me a couple of bits i had to improve in my swing and now after a couple of weeks practicing what a difference and now my pre shot routine willie showed me has vastly reduced my over thinking ,now i only have positive things going on in my head ,and i can see a huge improvement in my game and in myself im much more relaxed and i enjoy my golf for first time in years

i have just been for a lesson with willie ,i am now on the road to recovering some enjoyment again ,i was topping the ball and it was driving me mad,instead of going to play golf i was finding excuses not to go as i was not enjoying it, finally i took the plunge and booked a lesson,willie explained what i was doing wrong and we worked on w8t transferrence and turning my body through the ball instead of just using my upper body what a difference thanks willie see you on the course for a game brian murray

I have played golf for many years but over the past few years I've neglected my golf to such an extent that I was mis-hitting every iron shot which obviously dettered me from playing.
I've been taking lessons from Willie over the last few Months and I'm now playing the best golf in 15 years.
I find his teaching style and manner relaxed but very productive and in my particular case he has been very patient and supportive.
Thanks Willie for helping me to enjoy golf once more and I look forward to working with you again in the future.

Two years ago I had no hcap, never played a round of golf, and had my first tentative lesson with Willie.
Since then, all his lessons have been very productive and confidence boosting. He clearly, and very patiently, explains what he is trying to get me to do, and is still working with me to build a reliable swing and to be able to chip, putt and escape from bunkers in a constant manner. He quickly raises to the challenge when any sudden problem arises, and tweaks me back on track.
Willies's teaching methods and continuous encouragemant has enabled me, this season, to get my hcap to drop by 6 points and I was managing to break 100. At my club, I won 3 competitions and the open mixed, and reached the semis in the ladies hcap championship, and 2nd place,after count back, in another open mixed.

i have just had a lesson from willie i had developed a little problem at the top of my backswing which was causing a few problems,willie quickly identitfied the problem and showed me what it was and we worked on getting into a better position at the top of my backswing i was cupping my wrist and getting crossed over causing various off line shots ,willie has showed me a few drills i can use to help me ,i have to say willie is very professional in the way he conducts his lessons and the way he is very good at getting you relaxed

I started playing golf in 2005 with my husband. My handicap on my first offical medal round back in May 2005 was 30, two years later in May 2007 was 14. I have knocked a staggering 16 shots off my handicap in two years. During this time I have visited Willie for a few lessons, each time I have shown steady progress and my handicap has shown significant improvement. This year I started the season at 15, I am now playing off 11. I would like to thank Willie for his excellent coaching, he is extremely patient and the lessons he gives really make a difference. Willie very quickly identifies problem areas and works with you to make improvements. These past 2/3 years have been fantastic, I am looking forward to working with Willie over the next year to try to reduce my handicap further.

Having played golf for many years I had a lesson from Willie where he made some minor changes to my swing which helped my ball striking. This week the changes paid off and I won the handicap section of a senior open at my home club with my best score this season. Ifrequently go to Berryhill and he always takes a look at what I'm doing and gives me little tips and drills to help my game. His teaching is uncomplicated and in simple language that even I can understand. Thanks Willie and I'll keep practising.

I have been playing for many years and have managed to get my handicap down to 4, a few swing errors had crept into my game and after one lesson with Willie he has managed to correct them and improve my ball striking. I would recomend Willie to anyone wanting and willing to improve their golf game.

Golf is a good walk spoiled. That's what I have thought for years. However I decided a course of lessons might change my mind.Willie has certainly done that. He is SO SO SO enthusiastic it's sad!! I am now totally hooked and looking forward to going out with my husband instead of being slightly "pit oot" at him being away for hours on end playing with his pals. I first went to Willie because I couldn't always hit the ball. However, after lessons with him, I can now get the ball to sail down the fairway - and generally out of the rough! Whilst the chipping and putting sessions have been a great help in learning how to control these delicate shots. He very clearly explains how to 'feel' the shot, has heaps of patience, and gives lots of encouragement. Many thanks Willie. Donna

I had a lesson with Willie last week and within 5 minutes my inconsistant, high sliced shots were replaced by consistant firmly stuck shots going bullet straight and exactly where I was aiming. He fixed my setup without doing anything drastic to my swing, and gave me an easy to follow pre-shot routine to help me get it right all the time.
His is very friendly and has great enthusiasm for teaching. I would also recommend an on course lesson, especially at Peterhead.

i have just finished my block of 6 lessons with willie,the difference it has made to my game is awesome i can now stand over the ball and be confident that the ball will go where im aiming ,something that never happened before he has also learned me so good i now know what caused me to hit the good shot and also what causes me to hit my bad shot i would recomend willie to anyone,he is very good he is very patient,understood every thing we worked on and he is very encouraging nothing is too much trouble for him in his efforts to help you thanks a million willie

As a fairly novice lady golfer I was struggling with my game, I couldn't hit a straight ball! Willie came to my rescue and after only a few lessons my game improved dramatically as did my confidence. I cut my handicap by 6 strokes in a very short time. Thanks Willie! Suzanne.

After just one lesson from Willie and getting two or three tips on my back swing, alignment and grip at the start of 2006 my golf dramatically improved on the Inverallochy Golf Course. I managed to cut my handcap six strokes this year. Thanks a lot Willie!

I've been a lady golfer for many years, but took it up again on a very regular basis about two years ago. The more I played, the more I craved to better my game, and produce consistent scoring. My handicap has gone from 23 initially, to playing 15 this year, and I feel that the half hour coaching session with Wullie in February did the trick to reduce my handicap by 4.5 shots this season. I had a tendency to 'push' the ball right, not exactly a true slice, but I think if I'd let it carry on for any length of time, it would have developed into one! I tried to correct it myself, but hadn't realised how uncomfortable I was until after his coaching! He made a few minor alterations to my set-up and posture, and spoke me through the changes he was making. Although it felt odd for a couple of weeks, it soon came together and became more familiar. Since then, I have had numerous Silver Division places in various Opens throughout the North-East, as well as the Handicap Championship at our own club, and the Siver Section trophy at our own Ladies Open. As well as my home course, I now play in the Aberdeenshire Ladies County matches, which is something I would never have considered in my earlier days, and thanks to the 20 or so yards he put on my tee-shots, now outdrive my husband! ive just finished a block of lessons from willie and the change to my game has been dramatic all my tee shots were going right and with one tiny adjustment to my grip i am hitting fairways again which now means im not playing every second shot from the rough i cant thank you enough willie and will be back too see you soon .... scott handicap 18

Took up golf again about 7month ago, and really wanted to be back into it. So went and seen willie and he gave me a few lessons. He was spot on, no complants he listen to my problem and within 2min the problem was solved and within the first round i played in after my lesson i was hitting the ball alot cleaner and alot further.Would highly recomend to anyone struggling with anything willies your man to see about it. From being a frustrated beginner only hitting the ball occasionally, after lessons with Willie, I now have a reliable swing that enables me to not only hit the ball consistently using irons and woods, but also have control over direction and distance. The short game course was a great help in working out how to approach the green - I now don't gain as many strokes as before chasing the ball across the green! Golf is slowly becoming an enjoyable pastime to share with the other 1/2 in our retirement! I had my first 1/2 hour lesson with Willie six weeks ago, I played longside 3 days later and went round in 88, the first time I had shot less than 100 on any golf course. After my second 1/2 hour lesson I went round Peterhead in less than 100 twice. I have just had my third 1/2 hour lesson and it is all coming together, slowly but surely. Willie listnes and encourages questions from his pupils which is a good thing, but the key for me is taking on board what Willie is showing me and going away and putting as much effort into practising as I possibly can. I will keeping going back for more lessons as the confidence boost I get after a lesson from Willie is benefitting my game no end. Thanks for the help Willie,

i haqve just been for a lesson with willie ,i have to say it has made an unbelievable difference my confidence is sky high now i feel i can hit any shot i try but the thing that impressed me most was the fact that he listened to my problems and worked from there thanks willie ill be back again thats for sure

After a few lessons with Willie I improved my handicap by 3 strokes, from 35 to 32 and won section 2 of the Longside junior open! I had a slight problem with weight transferrance but with a bit of help from Willie I soon managed to sort it out. Then I had a lesson on putting. I still haven't quite mastered it yet but it will take a wee bit of time. Cheers Willie!

After taking up golf again recently I was getting frustrated at hitting one good shot then one bad etc, and not understanding why, so I went to see Wullie for some help, within 30 minutes he showed me what I was doing wrong, why it was happening and how to correct it, meaning I was hitting the ball straighter and further than ever before. This lesson has changed golf for me from being frustrating to being an enjoyable hobby. This has a been a massive help and look forward to getting my handicap down

ive been struggling to hit my 3 wood on the fairway for some time so i went to see willie and he made two slight changes to my stance and they are now flying off the deck and making my game seem a lot less complicated i would strongly reccomend him to anyone who is having problems of any kind trust me you will leave him with a smile on your face thanx willie

After working with Willie over the winter to correct some swing errors that had crept into my game, i am now striking the ball more consistantly and with one ball flight (not slicing or hooking depending on which club i pick).
His method of teaching is far superior to any PGA pro i have had lessons from and he explains the changes he is making and what the benefit of the change will be, the drills to practice the changes are very good and make the changes as natural as possible.
All in all an excellent experiance wich i would recomend to anyone from beginer to experianced golfer, if you want to improve contact Willie for a lesson you wont be disappointed.

I have just had my first lesson with Willie and I cant believe the difference.
I have had a slice for the 15 years that I have played golf. After 10 minutes of Willie explaining to me about my swing. speed and feet position I struck 45 out of 50 balls straight. Thanks Willie and I shall see you in a fortnight.

I have had a couple of lessons from Willie,the first in 30 years of golfing and with a few simple to understand instructions I am striking the ball much better. He doesen't try to make major changes but works on whatever is good with your swing. The main thing is that all his instructions are easily understood. I would recommend him to anyone who wants to improve their golf, so for friendly coaching give him a try, you will improve.

ive been recieving lessons from willie since the turn of the year when i couldnt buy a decent drive. apparently i had a reverse pivot where i was loosing all my tee shots left but im glad to say i now step onto the tee with confidence. i would recomend willie to any golfer as he has a very understandable teaching method unlike many other pros i have visited.

bin working with willie 4 a while now and things are starting to get going. really good methods of communication and practice drills to help things. never 2 busy to help! already had a medal score and my first ace! would recomend willie to any1. cheers willie hopefully we can keep up i good work!

If you have a handicap of 36 or 3.6, Willie can and will make a big difference to your golf game by putting things accross in a way that all golfers will understand. Next time you are at Berryhill Driving Range instead of just trying to smash balls your driver, book a lesson or two with Willie and see REAL improvement to your scores and to a lower Handicap!

I have had several lessons from Willie as I was strugggling with my short game and putting. In a short time I have cut at least 10 shots from my game, I will certainly be going back for more lessons before the beginning of the season.

after getting in to a rut of not playing very well my ball stricking was off key i booked a lesson with willie he made 2 minor adjustments in my set up the difference in ball stricking is much better he also gave me a much needed confidence boost i am now hoping 2 get my handicap down from 3 to one or maybe even better thanks willie best 15 quid ive spent for ages

hello fellow golfers i suppose like most higher handicap golfers i had a very wicked slice so basicly i only used the right side of the course when i managed to hit it i went to willie for some lessons with some patient and very easy to understand coaching i can now aim straight down the middle and better still can hit the fairway anybody thinking about lessons go along to see willie and get the benefits of an excellent teacher

I have been getting lessons from Willie Mckenzie for a while now and have managed with his help to lower my handicap into single figures.
I have had lessons from quite a few professionals and would definately rate Willie very highly, he has a very good teaching manner and is able to convey his instructions as to what he wants to achieve in changing your swing and what benefits you will achieve from making the required changes.
I would recomend Willie to any one from basic beginner to low handicap golfer.
